David, a film archivist, and his wife are happy, or so he believes. The sinister story of the house where he lives with his family, the scene of a ghastly turn-of-the-century murder, comes to the present and casts a shadow life. And when his marriage breaks David can’t help suspecting that the dark spirits of the house are somehow involved. In his drive to unveil the shadows hidden in the walls, David begins to descend into insanity, threatening the lives of everyone around him.
